Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that bridges creative expression and traditional talk therapy. It creates a unique way of exploring thoughts, emotions, experiences, and behaviours. Art-making can be a language for expressing what may feel difficult to put into words; offering space to slow down, reflect, and connect with yourself.

No previous art experience is needed to benefit from Art Therapy - it is about the process, not the finished product.

At Hidden Colours Counselling, Art Therapy is a collaborative and supportive process where there is no right or wrong way to create. Instead, creativity offers an opportunity to explore your experiences, discover new perspectives, and deepen your connection with self.

ABOUT

My Practice

I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and Art Therapist (DVATI) who believes therapy can be a space for curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connection. I offer a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach to my clients, meeting each person where they are and supporting them in finding their own path forward.

Art therapy can provide effective support for a range of mental health and emotional concerns, including diagnosed or undiagnosed depression, anxiety, ADHD, and PTSD. It can also support individuals experiencing trauma, grief and loss, stress, burnout, and chronic pain, including chronic pelvic pain. Art therapy can be especially helpful during life transitions, such as career changes, navigating relationships, starting post-secondary education, or adjusting to other significant changes in life.
